not so inevitable

Our floor is plywood.

Simply bcause we were not ready to commit to a more expensive material. Sometimes architects and owners don’t have strict criteria to reach the “inevitable”.

To our pleasant surprise, we love our floor! After sanding, oil-based poly, sanding, water-based poly and sanding, They turned out to be durable and georgeous and so easy to maintain.

But just in case we change our minds in future, walls are installed 3/4” off the floors so we can slip in the “inevitable”.
