Architectural Order

Mill-finished aluminium exterior shingles provide an original sense of order to this architecture. 

From a distance, it is a box with familiar scale and form that blends in with the surroundings.  From a mid-range, one starts recognize the discourse. Standing next to it, one understands the details and the mechanism behind the complex expression.

I find a parallel in classic architecture.

A familiar proportion and mass from the distance, recognition of the system i.e. base, columns and beams from mid-range, and understanding details of fluting and leaf carvings, standing next to it.
